#1: Instant emojis

Press the Windows key and then the full stop (period) key. A little window will come up with emojis you can insert into anything.

two neat tricks

Great for quickly brightening up a response to someone’s Medium story. 😃

Sometimes I reply to responses only with emojis. It’s quicker than typing words. 👍

#2: Quick screenshot

If you need to quickly take a screenshot, press the Windows key + Shift + S.

You can then select the area you would like to screenshot. This will be copied to the clipboard, ready for you to paste into a file or email or whatever.

But what if you want more control over your screenshots, for example, to edit and save them?

Click the Windows button in the bottom-left and search for “Snip & Sketch” and add it to your Taskbar for future quick access. From that app, click “New”, then do the screenshot like before. It will then appear in the Snip & Sketch app, where you can edit it and save it as a file.
