There are multiple ways of how to rename your Windows 10 PC but one of the quickest is to use the Settings app. Launch it from the Start menu, click the “System” category and then the “About” page at the bottom of the menu at the left. Scroll down the page to “Device specifications.”

Here, you’ll see your PC’s current name under “Device name.” Click “Rename this PC” to change the name. Type a new name into the popup prompt, using letters, hyphens and numbers. You should also remember that the name may appear truncated on some devices if you use more than 15 characters – try to stay below this length for trouble-free networking.

Great Experience! Jeff made it so easy. He can access your computer remotely to fix the problems. No need to even leave your house. I used to use Geek Squad and they are terribly expensive not to mention that they send your computer away to a 3rd party to do any system work. I highly recommend “That Tech Jeff”. He is personable and quick to respond.

Jeff was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. He was straightforward and patient with my questions. Most importantly, he resolved the problems on my laptop and made certain I had the latest versions of my OS and software. If I have any further IT problems, he’ll be my first call.

I just went through a computer scam that cost me $5,400 in Apple gift cards. I needed to have my computer checked for any implanted virus or malware before I started my new bank account. I contacted Jeff and was really pleased with the service I received. He checked my computer and then asked if there was anything else. I had a problem with the email address for my daughter. That little problem took 45 minutes to fix. He is real easy to talk to and very good at explaining things. He also said that he would answer any questions I might have later. I would call him again without hesitation and will recommend him to friends.
