Recently, there have been a lot of negative articles written about Geek Squad. Some people say that they have had terrible experiences with Geek Squad, while others claim that the service is great. Regardless of which side you fall on, below is a list of ten reasons why you should avoid doing business with Geek Squad and buying your products through them instead.
Reason #1 – The service often costs more than the product you’re purchasing! Many times, the Geek Squad agent will try to sell expensive upgrades and add-ons to your products that you don’t need. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up paying more money to Geek Squad than you would have if you had just purchased the product directly from Best Buy.
Reason #2 – The Geek Squad agents aren’t trained properly. They don’t always have the proper tools to fix your computer and they may even break it in the process. If you have a problem with your product after it has been repaired by Geek Squad, you’ll be out of luck and will probably end up spending even more money getting it fixed by another technician.
